I stayed there for one night and found it to be a very rewarding sleep. It's nestled in a quiet area with a country atmosphere. Walking on a country road with my dog, did I mention that they allowed pets when I was there, was a good experience too. They had all kinds of fishing equipment, boats, etc. for the fishermen. I am definately staying there again when I come into town. Their prices are very reasonable too.
Yes, it's a fisherman's motel. Very cozy & efficient. The bed was comfortable. Big plus. Because sometimes you and more than just a shack. Clean and well-cared-for, too.
If visiting the area book this great motel...clean, nostalgic, quaint quiet,cozy !! Close to everything yet just outside of town. Definitely recommend and will be my new go too stay when visiting the area!

My wife and I stayed here when my family had a camp out at Wyalusing state park that my way for my enjoyed being just outside the park and having a nice bed sleep in and place to wash up
I loved this little hideaway of a gem I came across while my cousin and I were on a mini vacation to see the Ultimate Waterfalls of Iowa. Everyone was booked and we just took a chance on this cozy, clean little place .So glad we did .Harry, the owner, was a delight!! He was such a friendly guy full of jokes and info on what was going on in town .He let us look at the room beforehand and it was so clean and cute as could be .Met some wonderful travelers who chatted with us .My cousin and I were so impressed with this little place. We plan to return on our next trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin to check out more waterfalls. Y'all should really book a room at Captain's Cove .You'll be glad you did. We had the best sleep and best time here!! Thanks for having us!!
Just stayed here for the first night. Came here from Michigan to fish for the week. Super impressed with how clean the rooms are and how friendly and hospitable the owner is. Great place to stay!
We had a great experience renting a canoe from Captains Cove. It's a great area to canoe and the drop-off/pick-up was quick & easy. The owner was super nice and went out of his way to help us find firewood when we realized we forgot to pick some up. We'll definitely come back next year.
